Preparing for Photos and Tours

It’s very important to prepare your property so its photo-ready before I arrive. It’s especially important for Matterport tours that items are not moved around while this is being carried out.

Top priority is to de-clutter so its the room that’s the star of the show and its not hidden by all the bits and bobs of everyday life.

My example shows the difference you can make with a quick tidy up.

A few pointers which really help get the best photos are:

  1. Remove items hanging on the back of doors so they can be opened as wide as possible

  2. Remove any cars and bins from the front of the property and move them well away so I can get a good photo of the front of the property and move them well away so I can good a good photo of the front of the property and the immediate surrounds.

  3. If you’re happy to do so, turn on all the lights and lamps. (In my opinion) this enhances the look of the final image. Or if you prefer lights off, that’s fine.

  4. Remove any photos or documents that you don’t want to be in any photos.

  5. If you have any pets, please have a plan for how they can be moved in and out of the property and don’t appear in the photos. If you’re able to take them for a walk that would be even better.
